Paint & exterior coating protection
Re-application of Graphene Paint Armour or Ceramic PRO 10H is provided at no charge if the coating is found to have failed to deliver its warranted UV-barrier, hydrophobic, or protective properties under normal use and maintenance. Applies to accessible, factory-painted exterior body panels and treated trim. The Dealer will inspect and determine whether failure is attributable to coating performance or an excluded cause prior to any service.
Term: Graphene, 5+ years. Ceramic PRO 10H (Essentials+, Total Control), long-term / permanent. Paint Defect Service (Total Control), 10 yr new / 5 yr pre-owned.
Interior surface protection [All packages]
Re-treatment of Leather/Vinyl Interior Shield and Fabric Protection is provided if the applied coating has failed to maintain its UV-barrier, spill-repellent, or anti-fade properties under normal use. Covers treated seating, door panel inserts, centre console lid, headliner, carpets, and trunk liner where the product was applied.
Interior rip, tear & burn service [Total Control only]
Covers accidental rips, tears, cuts, and burns on treated leather, synthetic leather, cloth, and vinyl surfaces. Eligible surfaces include front and rear seating, centre console lid, door panel inserts, and headrests. The Dealer will perform the repair or, where the coating has failed, re-treat the affected surface at no charge. Term: 5 years from enrollment date.
Damage exceeding 5 cm, deliberate misuse, pet damage, or damage from sharp tools is not covered. See Exclusions.
Windshield & mirror ceramic coating [Essentials+ & Total Control]
Re-application is provided if the ceramic coating on the windshield or sideview mirrors fails to maintain its hydrophobic rain-repelling effect under normal use. Application of aftermarket tint or third-party coatings to treated glass after delivery voids this benefit for the affected surface.
Rust & corrosion protection [Essentials+ & Total Control]
Solvent Rust Inhibitor (Essentials+, Total Control): Amber-based cavity injection into inner panels, door cavities, and structural crevices. Provides a moisture-displacing, non-drip barrier against rust perforation originating from the inside out. This benefit complements, and does not replace, the Stellantis Canada Anti-Corrosion Perforation Limited Warranty.
Electronic Rust Inhibitor (Total Control): OBD-II plug-in module generating a continuous pulsing surface current to inhibit metal oxidation across the full vehicle body 24/7. No maintenance required. If the device is found defective, replacement will be provided. Rust & Corrosion Coverage term: 10 years (new) / 5 years (pre-owned).
Tire & rim protection [Total Control only]
Tire and rim replacement or repair is provided through Sturgeon ShieldTM, with a two-year coverage term from enrollment date. Benefits, sub-limits, and claim procedures for Tire & Rim Protection are governed by the Sturgeon ShieldTM certificate of coverage, a copy of which was provided at delivery and is available on request.
Undercoating [Standalone only]
Full underbody application of a heavy-bodied, pliable solvent-based amber formula. Seals against road salt, gravel impact, moisture, and debris. Will not crack, peel, or chip under normal operating conditions. Re-application of affected sections is provided at no charge if the product is found to have failed to adhere under normal use within the coverage term. Term: 5 years or 160,000 km from application date, whichever comes first.
General membership terms
- Service plan, not insurance. This membership is a service plan issued by Sturgeon Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (the "Dealer") as sole obligor. It is not a contract of insurance and is not underwritten by any insurer. Covered services constitute minor repairs and re-applications for reasonable and expected wear and tear, consistent with Alberta Interpretation Bulletin 05-2024 (Revised December 23, 2024).
- Remedy. The Dealer's sole obligation is to repair or re-apply the applicable protection product to the affected area. The Dealer is not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect loss, including loss of use. The Dealer's maximum aggregate service obligation shall not exceed the original retail cost of the enrolled package or service across all claims combined.
- Rip / tear / burn aggregate cap. Total service value for interior rip, tear, and burn claims shall not exceed 50% of the Member's original enrolled package price over the life of the membership, inclusive of product and labour costs.
- Maintenance. The Member must wash the vehicle regularly using pH-neutral automotive soap, avoid abrasive compounds and harsh chemical wash products, and follow the Dealer's recommended coating maintenance schedule. Failure to maintain may affect eligibility for re-application services.
- Territory. Coverage applies to vehicles kept within Canada. Claims must be presented to a Sturgeon Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram location.
- Non-transferable. This membership is non-transferable and non-refundable except as required by applicable consumer protection legislation.
- Governing law. Governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta. Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Alberta courts.
How to make a claim
- Contact the Sturgeon Service Department at sturgeondodge.ca or by calling the dealership to book a claim inspection.
- Present this Certificate, a valid government-issued photo ID, and proof of vehicle ownership.
- The service advisor will assess whether the damage falls within the enrolled membership benefits. If approved, repair or re-application is performed at no charge, subject to the limits described above.
- Repairs or re-applications performed by third parties without prior Dealer authorization will not be reimbursed and may void remaining membership benefits.
The Sturgeon Shield™ Club is a service plan contract between the Member and Sturgeon Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. It is not a contract of insurance, is not underwritten by a licensed insurer, and is not subject to the Alberta Insurance Act (R.S.A. 2000, c. I-3) or the British Columbia Insurance Act (R.S.B.C. 2012, c. 1).
This plan is structured to fall within the motor vehicle service plan carve-out under Alberta Interpretation Bulletin 05-2024 (Revised, December 23, 2024), which exempts service plans providing minor repairs for reasonable and expected wear and tear from classification as insurance. Coverage is provided solely from the Dealer's own resources.
This plan does not limit, replace, or affect any statutory rights under the Alberta Consumer Protection Act, the Alberta Sale of Goods Act, or applicable provincial consumer protection legislation. BC-registered vehicles: coverage is limited to wear-and-tear service and does not constitute automobile insurance as defined under BC law or BCFSA Regulatory Statement No. 24-008 (April 2024). Sturgeon Shield™ Club membership is a dealer-issued service plan. Retain Certificate for the life of your ownership.
